Akitas have a wide range of colors as shown below. Please remember that the color of your Akita should not be as important as the Akita's health, temperament and type. Finding an Akita that fits your personality is also more important than the color.

Brindles is a striped pattern that is a combination of basically two colors: silver, red, fawn, or black. The mask can be all black or white and if black it might have some white which splits the face. A pinto is a pattern not a color. It is defined as an Akita with a white background with more than one-third of its body colored (any color) with evenly placed "patches" of color. A undermarked pinto (slang: mismark or hood) is a pattern of color that has less than one-third of the body in color, usually its a white body with a colored head with small patch(es) of color on the body.
