"ZZ"
isn't only beautiful but she's lucky too. As you can see from her
puppy photos below she was a lovely puppy. Then she became seriously
ill at eleven weeks and had to spend over two weeks in ICU at the
veterinary hospital. After a successful surgery on her intestines
she finally improved and look at her now.
Being in confined area with a constant IV
dip really affects a puppy. When she was released I didn't know if
she would ever recover her structure because she lost so much muscle, she
really looked a sight. A few months later she was greatly improved,
but I still didn't know if I'd be able to show her, because her rear was
still lacked muscle mass. By the time she was eight months I finally
knew that she would be fine. As you can see to the left, her rear is
now lovely and strong.
She's an awesome dog, I'm very happy she
resides here at Moonlight Akitas. She has a great front, solid
topline with a lovely tailset. I love her gorgeous balanced Akita
profile. ZZ won her first four point major on a specialty
weekend under Judge Kenneth Buxton.
She is pictured above winning Best of
Opposite Futurity Puppy at the 2009 Akita National under breeder judge
Joann Charnik. ZZ also won 1st in the 9-12 puppy class at the 2009
National under Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna.
ZZ finished her championship at twenty
months old and has earned nineteen points, including her three majors,
toward Grand Championship title. ZZ had her first litter sired by CH
Bridger, click here to see photos of the
puppies. ZZ's second litter was with CH
Rocky, click here to view the litter.

ZZ is shown winning her 2nd major under judge Barbara Brooks.

ZZ is shown finishing her AKC championship.
